Gustine Baby Limited Warranty
Our Gustine Promise
At Gustine, we create durable products designed for real family life. We choose quality materials and pay close attention to every finish so you can count on products that are reliable, comfortable, and made to last.
Our baby carriers are at the heart of that promise: because they carry what matters most, we hold ourselves to high standards of safety and quality (fabrics, stitching, straps, buckles, and adjustments).
That’s why we offer a Gustine Limited Warranty (on our baby carriers, coats, and poncho covers) against manufacturing defects (workmanship and materials). If a defect occurs under normal use, we will take care of it.
Important: Every situation is unique. Gustine reserves the right to assess each case individually and determine eligibility and the appropriate solution based on availability and safety.
1) What the Warranty Covers
- Duration: up to 1 year (365 days) from the date of purchase.
- Coverage: manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials (e.g., abnormal stitching failure, defective components, fabric defects).
- Assessment: an evaluation (photos) is required before any decision is made.
Safety note: certain repairs may be impossible or not recommended. Each case is evaluated.
2) What Is Not Covered
Our warranty exists to protect families against true manufacturing defects (only).
The Gustine Limited Warranty does not apply to:
- Normal wear and tear: fading, abrasion, signs of use, natural softening of materials.
- Accidents, loss, or theft: e.g., a product chewed by an animal, caught/snapped in a car door, etc.
- Improper care: washing/drying not done according to instructions, chemicals, excessive heat, storage in a damp environment.
- Misuse / non-standard use / negligence: incorrect installation, exceeding recommended limits, use contrary to safety instructions.
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs: alterations, unapproved repairs, non-Gustine parts or accessories.
3) Definition of a “Manufacturing Defect”
A manufacturing defect exists when the product has an issue related to:
- the intended design;
- workmanship (assembly, safety stitching, construction);
- or materials (components, straps, buckles, fabrics);
and the issue occurs under normal conditions of use.
Gustine may update or improve products over time. These changes do not mean previous versions were defective.
4) Eligibility
The warranty applies only:
- to the original owner;
- for a product purchased from Gustine or an authorized retailer;
- with proof of purchase.
Second-hand Products
Second-hand products are not covered by the warranty.
However, if the situation allows, a paid repair may be offered: all costs (repair + round-trip shipping) are the customer’s responsibility.
5) “Limited Warranty”: What That Means
The warranty does not cover items that are worn out or deteriorated over time through normal use. All products naturally wear over time. Even with normal use, materials and components can gradually break down depending on frequency of use and exposure to the elements (sun, moisture, friction), which can lead to normal fading and fabric wear.
To determine whether a product is covered, we consider:
- level of use (occasional or intensive, one or multiple children);
- care (washing, drying, storage);
- exposure to the elements (sun, moisture, abrasion, etc.).
Replacement products or parts provided do not start a new warranty period.
6) How to Make a Claim
Contact our customer service team with:
- proof of purchase;
- photos/videos of the issue;
- the model and product identification.
If approved, Gustine will determine the solution, depending on the situation:
- replacement of a part;
- repair of the product;
- or an equivalent solution (subject to availability).
Shipping
If a return is required, Gustine will provide shipping instructions.
Gustine is not responsible for parcels lost in transit (to or from us).
7) Our Repair Service: A Solution Even After the Warranty
Even if the warranty has expired or the situation isn’t covered, you can still use our paid repair service. We can evaluate your case and determine whether a repair is possible and safe, to help find a solution that works for you (depending on the nature of the damage and parts availability).
This approach allows us to maintain high safety standards while helping you as much as possible whenever a repair is feasible.
